A speaker at various retreats, church groups and youth ministry workshops, I have a God given passion for encouraging and empowering people toward finding purpose, healing and identity through the Holy Spirit as they pursue life in an imperfect world. I am ordained in the Evangelical Covenant Church and served in family/student ministry for nearly a decade. In addition, I was fortunate to train other youth leaders as a certified trainer for Jim Burns’ National Institute of Youth Ministry.
As a result of experiences within our family, a new focus emerged. My heart holds a burden for families journeying with a child with special concerns (short or long-term)and is made manifest through creating workshops and other opportunities to encourage and sustain parents facing these situations.
Though I am not presently serving in a pastoral role, I continue to use my gifts to serve God in the Church. My passions for speaking, writing, teaching and encouraging find fulfillment in the opportunities God presents to me. I am married to Scott and mother to Seth (18), Lena (16) and Eli (13. ) In recent years, God bestowed a new title: “teacher” as I began homeschooling my daughter.
Things that make my heart happy include teaching classes at church, speaking, writing, networking, hanging out with friends and family, iced coffee, reading and exploring beach towns.
